Looks very nice - what finish is that? I'd also be curious as to what that cost if you didn't mind sharing.

The finish is the factory original parkerized. I'm thinking of having it refinished in something else but for right now I'm pretty satisfied. Luckily all the aftermarket parts I got are all parkerized so there is no mismatching colors.

I got it at 10-8 performance.. http://10-8performance.com/Merchant2...gory_Code=1911
I also picked up my rear sights from the same place. Frank didn't mention any difficulties with installing the mag release. He might have done some minor fitting but didn't bother to tell me. I guess when installing any aftermarket parts YMMV.Last edited by Centurion_D; 10-15-2009, 2:26 PM.

3. 10-8 Performance 1911 trigger, long curved, lightened.
4. EGW 1911 Hard Sear
5. Cylinder & Slide 1911 High Grip Extended Safety - Tactical Blue
6. Nighthawk Customs G-10 grips, golfball pattern, black
7. Smith & Alexander Hex Head grip screws, blued.
8. Mars Armament 2nd Gen. ILAP (Integrated Lanyard Attachment Point) magwell, pointed golfball pattern, beveled sides.

Your pistol looks great. Don't you think 3.5 lbs trigger pull is a little on the light side for a defensive pistol? Do you think there will be any problems in case you have to go to court after an encounter because of the 3.5 trigger weight?Comment

I'm assuming those grips are G-10 Gunners. If so, hit it up with a little WD-40. It'll blacken up those grips.Comment
