Walther P99 with the small backstrap works for me. I imagine the M&P9 woud be similar.

Also, take a look at the SW M&P, XD, Glock, CZ P01, BHP or Ruger SR9 among double stacks
+1 for the HK P2000 and P2000SK. The interchangeable backstraps are great.

My wife has small hands (she's 5' tall), and she loves the XD Sub-Compact. She also did well with the XD Service. Give them a try.

Hi Power, BDM, or any of the plastic receiver guns that gives you adjustable backstraps (Walter P99). You can also get grip reduction on Glocks and other similiar plastic guns at specialty shops such as:

              Ditto.

I have the p99. I highly recommend it for small hands.

Go to a gun shop and try the fit and feel. Ask about a range to rent various models and try them out.

              Good luck,

I asked the same thing a few days ago, and I'm finding that its more important to find something with a comfortablke grip rather than just a thin grip after going to a gun shop. The hk 2000s were pretty comfortable. I'm also trying to find a sig p2022 because of how the grips are pretty rounded out looking.
