Lighten the trigger pull on G19

I have a triggerkit.com kit (new triggerbar, new springs and beveled plunger I mentioned earlier) with a Ghost Rocket 3.5# connector on my G34. I think my trigger and striker spring is from Wolff however.

My G17 uses a triggerkit.com trigger with a LWD 3.5# connector, also with the Wolff trigger and striker spring. It's not nearly as crisp as my G34 though. One complaint I have is that 3.5# connectors, while it lightens up the trigger also makes the trigger really spongy and vague. My G34 has a distinct take-up, with a very clean break. My G17 feels like a revolver trigger with a short travel, I hate it. That's why I mentioned playing around with factory and competition springs, since the heavier weight will also make it less spongy.

I've used Scherer, LWD, Ghost and Glock's 3.5# connectors, only the Ghost has what I've been looking for.

I'd go to mikey for sharpshooting instruction..he's ridiculously accurate.. of course rich is no slouch either, except rich is just a whore for crisp/clean triggers..

I've done the .25 cent job and Im running an almost stock setup in terms of springs and parts. If you're doing slow fire stuff at the range, you'll notice the difference between stock and polished. If you're running around, shooting competitively, then the stock 3.5 connector is more than capable.

I've tried most of the big names out there.. Vanek, (both of his high end and production triggers) Triggerkit, and Glockworx. While better than stock, they dont' work miracles. I'd bet money that if you gave Mikey a stock #7 connector, he would still out bullseye everyone in the group.. Me included.. Well.. there was this one time when Mikey started to put his gun away a little toooooo soon..

IMHO, it's more about the indian and less about the bow..

What the heck?! That's a bummer. Hopefully they'll open up shop again since the site is still running. Honestly I don't notice too much difference between theirs and stock. You'll reach 90% of the "kit" with a basic wolff spring swap and 3.5# connector of your choice. The beveled plunger was a really nice tough though and does make a difference.

Black Majik's G34 trigger is sweet. If you end up getting the trigger kit or 3.5lb. connector, I can help you install it. It's so easy a caveman can do it.

That's the great thing about Glocks; you don't need to throw alot of money at it to enhance it. Point of diminishing returns is right around $10 for the action.

This is true. While uber-expensive Glock trigger jobs are nice, it is a bit of a diminishing returns thing trying to get the Glock trigger to resemble a 1911. The 3.5# connector and 25 cent trigger job will get you close enough, for slow or rapid fire. You'd be better off focusing more on proper grip and trigger control.

I found the 3.5 Shaerer to be good for tactical shoots, but yes, it is spongey. However you're shooting fast so it's not an issue. It's better to keep the gun still while you're focusing on quick shots. I can still feel the reset, so that's not an issue either.

I would like to play around with different springs and stuff eventually.

Go with the Ghost Rocket. From what I've gathered and those I know with Glocks the Ghost Rocket seems to be the best way to improve the pull on a Glock for the least amount of money.

It's not a drop in and does require some fitting.

The Schaerer trigger connector is $7, to me that's the best bang for the buck.
