Lighten the trigger pull on G19

The G19 is in jail right now till next week. While I think about it, I want to get the trigger pull down to about 3-3 1/2 lbs.

The smith at Ammo Bros was busy when I was there, but does anyone know how much it would cost me?

Or does anyone have any recommendations on where to get it done?

If there are smiths on here that want the job let me know.

I am not a mach shooter or anything close to it, just want a lighter trigger pull.

You don't need to waste money at a gunsmith to lighten a Glock trigger. $9 will get you around 3.5lbs and a bit of polishing. Get a 3.5lb connector first:

Don't forget to get a set of decal grips; huge improvement in controllability:

You can leave it at just the connector, or improve it a bit:

Zev Tech connector. It's a simple installation and does wonders for the trigger. I put it in all my Glocks.

www.pistolgear.com and www.triggerkit.com both sell drop-in kits for $75. I have them in my Glocks, and they're pretty good.

Otherwise, ditto the lighter connector + "$0.25 trigger job" (polishing).

It's pretty simple, but if you need help (installation, polishing), PM me.

(ETA: Whoops, pistolgear doesn't carry Glock kits anymore. )

Glockworkz has some pretty impressive stuff PM Yar.
I move slow but I make up for it by shooting poorly.

When I hit the lotto I'm only shooting factory.

You can do that yourself and while your waiting you can order the parts

I have a G19 and I really like but to get there I changed some other parts to get it to just right. 3.5# connector, extended slide stop lever, extended mag release, rigid guide rod insert and I replaced the rear sight with with Trijicon 2-dot day sight to give me a 3 dot sight picture.

I have well over 500 rounds thru it now and it puts 10 rounds into a 3" cluster shooting unsupported.

                  Congrats your new gun.

                    Competition Spring Kit

                        And the flitz!

Nice list Dave. You can also use a combination of stock vs. comp spring depending on how light or crisp you want your Glock trigger to be.

Also, beveling the plunger in the slide helps smoothen things up a bit as well.

I can try, but Bambam-31 (Mike) is the handgun marksman in our group. You'd be much better served under his instruction.

If you can, get some Flitz, Simi-Chrome or other metal polishing compound to polish the contact points on the connector and triggerbar This is for the " 25 cent trigger job" which will help smooth out the trigger.
