Range question regarding handguns...

This may be too much of a drive but Iron Sights in Oceanside has a good selection of 1911's among other guns.

+1 on iron-sights. There are other ranges that are closer to me but I make the 45min trip to them because it's well worth it. Service is excellent and they do have a variety of pistols for rent.

I only saw 1 1911 at Magnum the other day. They ARE a bit difficult to understand on the phone! They've treated me good since I can remember though. Gook luck with your search.

Government Model 1911's...having a tough time deciding on which one I would like to get...been ripping my hair out researching which one to buy and I guess I would like to give one a go especially if I'm considering a higher end 1911 i.e. ed brown, nighthawk, wilson combat...

They have a couple 1911s there but I don't know about a Govt model...

You could also check out Evans's Shooting world indoor range in the city of Orange.

They have a large selection of pistols from Glock, HK, SA, Colt, Beretta, etc., to rent and one can shoot JHP, take some double taps, now and then, just don't get carried away.. and pick-up and keep your own brass..

thanks...I beileve I gave them a call asking what government 1911's they had and there was not a lot to choose from but I'm finding this is a common thing with most ranges. Everyone seems to have a good selection of guns to choose from but I have yet to find one that really has a great line of 1911's to choose from...might just have to bite the bullet and just buy one b4 I get to try it like everyone else...one can hope right?
