    Range question regarding handguns...

Hope this is the right place...

Can anyone suggest a good range that has a variety of different handguns to test and try out; particularly 1911's? Kimbers, Colts, S&W, nighthawk, wilson combat, ed brown, dan wessons, etc...

I'm in southern california about 20 mins for disneyland so I don't mind taking a drive to be able to test a good selection of guns out...Ranges in either O.C or Riverside would be great...LA would have to be worth the drive out there

Thanks for the suggestions in advance...

OC Gun Range - 684 N. Berry Street, Brea
Magnum Gun Range - 9049 9th St, Rancho Cucamonga

I have been to both. Nice selection of rentals and good people to work with.

I think LAX probably has a broader selection of guns but I go to Sharpshooters Inc in Torrance. They have a decent collection of handguns to rent...

What are you looking to rent specifically? I might be able to tell you if they have it...

      EDIT:

Government Model 1911's...having a tough time deciding on which one I would like to get...been ripping my hair out researching which one to buy and I guess I would like to give one a go especially if I'm considering a higher end 1911 i.e. ed brown, nighthawk, wilson combat...

I'm a regular at OC Indoor.

They have a Colt, S&W, Kimber and several styles of SA(Loaded, Milspec and GI if I recall correctly). Very nice folks there.

It's possible I'm wrong about the kimber, but I've shot two different Springfields. I know because the last one I shot convinced me I didn't want to spend that much and got a Rock instead.

On Target in Laguna Niguel has a pretty impressive selection of rentals to choose from.

Tough to find a range renting NHs, Wilsons and Browns. Best to go to a Calguns shoot.

The LAX shooting range is really going to be your best bet.

This may be too much of a drive but Iron Sights in Oceanside has a good selection of 1911's among other guns.

Not alot listed on their website but I gave them a call...they have 2 wilson's to shoot but right now are out of comission because they are all out of factory ammunition...might make a trip down there though because of the stock that they do have in stock...on target had some wilsons to give a go

L.A. Gun Club has a great selection. I've called and asked them if they had models in stock and they were happy to help me. I explained that I was trying before buying when I went in and they were helpful and made a few additional suggestions for me.
