Need a .357

i just bought a smith and wesson 28-2 .357 mag and that piece is accurate for something made in the 60's

Get a Smith 28 with an S-prefix. Much nicer than anything coming out of the Performance Center today.

With a lever action, you have to go with like kind, so try a Ruger Vaquero.

I was in this dilema not too long ago and I narrowed it down to the S&W 686 and Ruger GP100 both 4".

Tried both at the firing range and the 686 won me over. The trigger pull on the S&W just felt much smoother & it was super accurate firing .357.

Also you can get the 686 with 7 shots (don't know if the ruger has that option).

Recemmend trying both of these at the range...but my vote is for the S&W though it is more expensive.
