    Need a .357

I'm getting my self a Rossi lever action in this caliber and might as well get a handgun to go along with it. I've only come across the s&w 600 series as being any good but am extremely open to any other options out there (granted a 4"-6" barrel). Please list off what you know is tried and true! Thanks

Cant go wrong with a Ruger. See if you can find a Speed six.

With a lever action, you have to go with like kind, so try a Ruger Vaquero.
The way some gunshop clerks spout off, you'd think that they invented gunpowder and the repeating rifle, and sat on the Supreme Court as well.

        Yeah baby!

Definitely a Ruger single action revolver the toughest of them all, unless you drop the Freedom Arms name.

Rugers are bomb proof. Smiths are refined. Get one of each!

I like my Ruger GP100. I've got big hands so the stock grips fit my hand very well and it's probably the most accurate handgun out of the 5 I own.

Im liking the looks of the GP100. What barrel length would you guys say I get? Is 6 better than 4? This is for HD purposes and perhaps some spouting off .38 when I'm bored.

                  Preference really. I like 357's with 4" tubes, 44's with 6" tubes.

                      Another vote for the GP100.

I can't get myself to buy a current production Smith, so I would concur with others... Ruger GP100.

I love my Dan Wesson Model 15. I used to only keep the six inch barrel on it but now I really like the four inch.

I'd go the cowboy route and get a SAA. I love my Uberti Cattleman in .357.
