I shoot my 220 carry ways better than my friend's Glock 30, after he shot my 220 carrry, he wanted to sell his Glock! I told him just keep it ( then I could sometimes shoot it ) AND buy a 220, he end up bought a 229
    Do it yourself.

Go for the Glock since you already have a 220. Half an inch length difference is the same gun. The Glock 30 only gets rave reviews just about everywhere. 10 rounds of .45 in a concealable package is a good thing.

I have the Glock 38. 8+1 rounds of .45 in a gun the size of a G19. 200 grain Gold Dots coming through!!

I am always looking for Beretta D models in 9mm or a Compact Type M.

10mm is nice, but availability is so so and prices probably outrageous.

True enough. Even ordering online it is relatively expensive compared to most other handgun calibers. I load my own, so that helps a lot. I sometimes forget that some people only buy ammo from stores

I have a 245 which as previously stated is the predecessor to the 220 Compact. I bought it a few years ago rather than a G30 (which was actually my original intention). I rented a G30 a few times and I was feeling the finger "pinch" with the G30, where my ring finger ended up on the gap between the grip and the magazine and would get pinched in between with every shot. I recall seeing others complain on some boards about that after I experienced it as well. Both were more accurate than me, and I don't feel either was bad from a felt recoil perspective. If you haven't tried a G30 then I'd suggest you try one first. Otherwise I think both are excellent firearms.

Prior to the ammo rush, every FFL in my area stocked 10mm. Right now it is a little hard to find, but hey, so is .22 and 9mm. Online ordering of 10mm gives generally better prices and the option to purchase truly full-house ammo.

As far as recoil, it depends on the ammo you are shooting. 10mm is available in watered down .40 S&W form, or really hot stuff with 40% more muzzle energy than .45. If you are running the lighter, practice ammo stuff the felt recoil is less than your average .45 cal weapon. However, the full power stuff does have a decent snap. It isn't as bad as a large caliber revolver, but still more than you'd ever get from the Glock 30. I would not go so far as to call it unreasonable to manage, FYI.

You can find ammo if you look. I've been able to shoot 500 rounds this month so far and that's only because I didn't have enough money to shoot anymore.

The 10mm is an awesome round, and if you want full power stuff for SD then look into DoubleTap ammo.

Unless he sold it to himself with an exemption (special wepaons permit, possibly) and then PPT'd it, there is no such exemption.

The trigger pull is very short, very crisp. The trigger rest is like nothing you've seen on a Sig pistol before.

I have a Sig 220 compact and love it. Its hard to find in CA not being on the CA list but is a good score if you can find one. The beavertail helps with getting a better grip than the 245 also. The accuracy is not lacking either. The only think I wish is that Crimson Trace would make some grips for it.

The Glock 30 is definitely a nice handgun. For concealed carry and same round count the 29 would be a good choice. The overall depth is 0.31 inches less (4.45" vs 4.76") and as posted, the 10 mm can be had in various velocities and weights.
