Hi All,

Pretty cool round, are the CZ52 and M-57 the only options available in CA as a C&R? I get a little confused with the Yugo reproductions being legal etc.

Not helpful at all for us but Norinco makes an sig P226 clone in 7.62x25. They sell it in Canada. Makes me sad.

I wonder how that older cartridge would compare to the new .30 Super Carry, if loaded with premium bullets?
I don’t recall any recent 1911 pattern pistols being chambered for it either, but that does not mean that someone has not tried it. Being that it is a bottle-neck design, and higher pressure, that may be an issue.

Could probably easily convert a 9mm AR. Most likely just a barrel swap.

I made the greatest handgun shot of my life with this round. Use to carry a Polish Tokarov as a ranch gun years ago. Fortunately, I had a witness to the shot and the wife would throw me down hard if I was exaggerating! Running coyote at 250-275 yards as it was quartering away from us. First shot from that pistola with those teeny weenie sights, was about 20 yards short judging from the dust puff of the impact. Elevated a lil more and kept swinging with him. Second shot was right between his legs. He jumped straight up and found a couple more gears when he came down. Third shot rolled him. End of that coyote.

It is indeed a round that will reach across a canyon!

I believe that shot. My greatest pistol shot of my life was about 50 years ago. I was up deer hunting in the lava beds NE of Mt Lassen. I had a Ruger pre-Mark I .22 pistol with a 6 inch barrel, loaded with CCI Mini-Mags. I was up on a ridge above a large creek, at least 200 yards away/below. There was a smaller rock (maybe cantaloupe size) on top of a boulder in the middle of the creek. I sat down, took my time, and braced my pistol between my knees. First shot was a bit low, but I hit it with the 2nd shot. I was damn lucky. I really doubt if I could replicate that shot today, though.
