if roster compliancy is not a issue for the OP he is probably law enforcement and SB2 has a exemptions for law enforcement officers.

Ha! No, I specifically asked about full size but referred to the current Micro trend as far as the new way of stacking 10 or more rounds in a magazine that fits into a thin grip. Or at least that?s what I TRIED to convey. I also said I wasn?t interested in heavy guns. But here we are, with Micro recommendations and full metal frame suggestions.
No point trying to herd the cats. I just ask the question the best I can, and discard suggestions that don?t fit the question. The Glock 48 suggestion has so far been the most interesting solution to me. Not quite full size, but it does have a barrel longer than 3-and-something inches. I also need to research the S&W catalog more closely.

You are getting those recommendations because the thin full size non 1911 gun you are looking for does not exist. If you want a large capacity, light, thin full size frame you are dreaming. That gun has never existed.

I was going to suggest the Kahr TP9. Nothing on the market is thinner than a Kahr at 0.9" at the slide. The TP9 is a full size pistol (4" barrel), has a lightweight combat tupperware frame... but it sounded to me like the O.P. wanted a 15-round single-stack pistol, which ain't gonna happen (the TP9 is 8+1 capacity).

Plus a lot of folks don't like the Kahr revolver-like DAO trigger, though admittedly the O.P. never mentioned anything about trigger preference. And what I mean by "revolver-like" is that it doesn't have a short reset... it's a long pull, long reset, long pull, long reset, etc. A true DAO. But it's the smoothest and lightest revolver-like pull you'll ever experience.

Unfortunately, I believe Kahr discontinued their 'T' series pistols because, ironically, there's just no market for a full-size, non-1911, single stack pistol. [I would have loved to have had my wife try one.]

So to the O.P., if you're interested in a TP9, it's going to be pretty tough to hunt one down on the used market. FYI: Kahr 'T' series pistols were never Kali compliant, so it's an off-roster pistol... which is a good thing in the big picture (no CLI or magazine disconnect "safety").

Sig P220 is full size 45, and relatively slender. Replace factory grip with factory thin grip to get even slimmer, at least in the grip. Slide width cannot be altered.

Another recommendation is Sig P210. It's a single stack full sized steel gun.

Microcompacts like the SIG P365 and SA Hellcat are extremely popular for their concealable size and 10-round or better capacity.
Are there any recommendations for a pistol that takes advantage of the thin build, but uses a longer barrel? I I?m thinking concealment and round count, so the heavy 8-round 1911 is not an example of what I?m curious about! CA Compliant is NOT a factor.
I?m more than a little out-of-touch with the market, and the forum. If this has already been asked and answered, can you link the thread or offer search suggestions?

It's called Emotional Intelligence. Current school systems really pushes the concept of EQ. I call it talking out of both sides

Glock 48. Forget the shield magazines. Stick with genuine factory OEM magazines. Carry spares.

Glock 48. More of a compact as opposed to being full sized, but much thinner than a double stack. Mine has been my EDC for nearly three years now and I have no plans to switch to anything else.

Or you could get a 1911.
