    Recommend Thin Full Size Pistol

    Greetings, long time no?see? read?
Microcompacts like the SIG P365 and SA Hellcat are extremely popular for their concealable size and 10-round or better capacity.
Are there any recommendations for a pistol that takes advantage of the thin build, but uses a longer barrel? I I?m thinking concealment and round count, so the heavy 8-round 1911 is not an example of what I?m curious about! CA Compliant is NOT a factor.
I?m more than a little out-of-touch with the market, and the forum. If this has already been asked and answered, can you link the thread or offer search suggestions?
    Many thanks!

The Shield or the Max9 for now. Shield Plus rumors about but it?s matter of when?

Might be a moot point for carry with the recent legislation. Definitely take a read.

1911 5" barrel in 45 ACP. Nuff said.

JK. A Shield is a very good concealment pistol. It shoots nicely and easy to put rounds on target. My biggest complaint has been the thin grip twisting in my hand. With my hands, I have a gap in the palm and therefore zero grip on the gun. This is only a concern with multiple fast rounds. I'm sure with more practice, I could've gotten better. But, the XD9 is a much better shooter IMHO. Free-state mags gets you 16+1 rounds of 147 grain JHP hot sauce.

P365 X Macro is probably the most efficient carrier right now.

1911 Government Model, or a FN Hi Power.

This would be my choice. I'd probably opt for the X Macro comp, but that's personal choice since either are fine.

For a full sized gun maybe a Sig SP2022. Full size but a bit thinner than the standard P series guns.

CZ 75 compact may also be a strong contender despite the weight.

My Shield 9 provides a slim and comfortable feeling with a respectable caliber. My ultra concealment which is the slimmest would be my SIG 238 in 380 and with good JHP rounds in two mags allows me the slimmest carry. However, my Kimber Ultra carry in 45 acp is slim enough to carry while wearing a suit and provides me a secured feeling knowing seven rounds of 45 ACP is tucked under my suit. All of these as I carry them concealed are hardly noticeable and once carried often, becomes a comfortable part of your wardrobe.

I have a S&W MP9c that is just larger than the Shield and Shield Plus.. Close enough that I can not justify buying the Shield Plus unfortunately.. I?ve added a Apex trigger and Hi-viz night sites to the 9c and added magizines so starting over with the Shield would be spendy.. For not a huge size difference.. 17rd mags from the full size MP?s also fit well with the mag sleeve .. So I feel kinda stuck/invested with it.. Love to have a Shield Plus though..
                        Cheers

The Glock 48 and the Sig P365Xmarco are both 1.1" wide, but the Xmarco holds 15 round!

Glock 48 is surprisingly thinner vs G19 but is a big as G19. You can add the Shield Arms 15 round mags.

OEM standard for the Macro is 17 rounds.
