I get a new gun, I put it in the safe and place the box in came in up in the rafters of the garage. No big " Hey honey, check this new gun out" or anything like that. Sorry to hijack - kinda
Yeah, I'm all up on this, but I've run out of room for longguns - and so many more to buy. (Yeah, I know get a bigger safe, where to hide that?!)
I've got boxes of kits up there in the rafters wanting to be built into rifles, where will I put them? A new .50 upper will be coming this year and my FAL build from Rich. I think that one I'll call a new case since that how he ships them, or if she sees it - I'll say I sent it out for refinishing. What to do with the 1919 I want, I don't know. I'll get a crate case and won't be able to put that in the rafters.
As far as handguns, I've got room for a few more, maybe a XD will be one of them!

I shot my Xd 40 exactly as you have described when I
first got it a couple years ago. After posting this on xdtalk
A couple forum members gave me this same tip.It worked
        For me.
Thank you! I'll do just that. Oh, the ten ring's gonna ger it now... Thanks!

Didn't Dr. Phil say this very thing?

Fortunately though, my wife is a shooter and loves the 1911 (She has basically taken possession of my Baer TRS, and shoots it well). Luckily, she has never said "No" when it came to a new gun purchase, just doesn't get why I have to have so many. I always liken it to her numerous diamond rings, bracelets, necklaces............
