Glock switch [generally, illegal unregistered machinegun]

So I just recently heard about this thing called a Glock switch. What?s the legality on it in California?

Generally, a Glock "Switch" is part/assembly enabling a Glock to fire in a fully automatic mode. It's my understanding "switch" would be illegal to possess anywhere in the USA (which includes California), without approval by the ATF.

That's true; the ATF has ruled that a "Glock switch" is a machine gun under the NFA.

There's more than one version, there are Glock factory made ones, then there are Chinese made ones. The Glock factory made ones are heavily NFA controlled and spendy, the Chinese ones are sold on the street from $250-$600 and are made to various integrity, some work, some don't, SO I'M TOLD for I have no first hand experience with these devices, legal ones or otherwise.

Seems to be a delicious new toy for third world gang members to turn each other heads into soup bowls ..don’t see any reason for one in the states.it turns a utility type pistol that some can barely afford ito a bullet hose .Just a big waste of expensive ammo .Plus you might get a nice set of S&W chrome hand cuffs before your ride to county to start a unwanted vacation from everything you care for.

Probably what’s installed on a Glock 9mm that I heard being tested at a park near my house at 11PM. It sounded like, Braaaap-Braaaap-Braaaap-Braaap. I’ve shot M-11s legally in AZ, it wasn’t as fast as the M-11, but dang close.

Looks and sounds fierce, is actually grossly impractical. Certainly not worth a dozen years in a federal prison.
