Even though I like my 19 and 23, my hand is kind of cramped with the compacts grip. I find the full size grip easier to shoot due to more grip area for my support hand to make contact with the grip. My G45 is my HD pistol.Comment

I almost bought a G45, but then a good deal on a G19x came along and I got that instead. It has quickly become one of my favorite Glocks. I like the 19x over the 45 as it came with night sights and I have to admit that I am becoming fond of FDE.
I have a metric ton of pre gen5 G17 mags, so the lip on the bottom of the grip is a non issue for me.MLC member.

I got the 19x and its my favorite Glock now. It takes gen 3 mags which I have plenty of, so no issue with mags. I really like how you can add LOP with the backstrap and no finger grooves is nicer.
The 19x does have the new Gen5 barrels which seem to be more accurate for me but thats probably not true.
Only "negative" I can think of is if you are CCWing. I think for CCW you want the shortest grip, because that is the hardest part to conceal, barrel length is not as much an issue.
Personally I wanted the 19x over the 45.CRPA and NRA member.

The dust cover on the 17 is too long for the 19 slide to fit. Have a 45, best of both world as the 19 grip is just a touch too short for my hand.Comment
