Depends on what model, what it started as, how it was converted, how well it was done, and what it comes with.

If someone took a ramped barrel 38 super and used a builders kit and it was nicely fitted and reliable, i would ecpect to pay more than if someone just swapped barrels in their gi 38 super.

Gun, mag, and case only for the latter, I would expect to pay around $450 (non-ramped barrel swap- $400). If a RIA tac builders kit was used and all the parts are included and you have a truly reliable multi caliber 1911, I would expect $800 or more..

I sold mine about a yr ago for 700ish. I would say anywhere between 6-800 depending on model, condition and accessories included. I went based off you can grab a sai target 9mm for about 1k. Kimber also has a 9mm model. Mine started as a 38super and i purchased the slide and barrel from advanced tactical .

I think your price is good on the RIA, and your conversion was done well.

But used, the Springfields are a bit less. There is one sitting in the classifieds now with case, 4 mags, and two grips for $750. And that is pretty comparable to when I've seen them on consignment locally.

The key is the quality of the conversion. 1911s require barrel fitting and all quality barrels come slightly oversized, so they can be fitted to the specific gun. Only loose barrels work as drop-in replacement. And if you replace the whole slide (if converting from larger calibers), it should be fitted to the frame too.

I converted the RIA nickel plated 38super to 9mm by install a 9mm barrel. Slide and mag works fine.

                ^this

I did this on a black steel version. Some quick hits with a file on the back of the hood on a 9mm barrel and it went into lockup, great fitment.
