    After loading the rounds in correct sequence, keeping the hammer pulled back, look in front of the firing pin. There is a hole for the firing pin. You should see light coming from the front of the barrel into the empty cylinder chamber . Therefore you can drop the hammer and pin on empty chamber. Your safe now.

      Thanks IVC, and bergmen I was wondering how the Uberti works.
      I have a few Ruger Blackhawks, so I know how they work.

      I think that it was Elmer Kieth that a Colt fire when he was saddeling up a horse. The sturep fell down and hit the hammer.
