I have the AA .22lr conversion for my G26. Runs flawlessly with CCI Blazer.

      Had it and sold it.
A dedicated 22lr pistol is better than a conversion kit.

I have 2 of them. Neither are very reliable with any ammo I've tried, and I've tried a LOT of different ammo. I have some miscellaneous malfunction about every 7 rounds or so. Both have about 1,000 rounds through them.

I don't know of any dedicated 22lr pistol that fits a G17 holster with a light attached, and that has a similar or same trigger pull as my carry gun.

That is certainly one of the advantages I see with this kit. Inexpensive practice with a Glock (grip, trigger, etc.). It is a lot lighter though but I do not see this as a disadvantage.

I have five other .22 handguns so I'm good there, this kit is just another nice addition.

Just get a glock frame and make a dedicated pistol

When I used to edc a G19, I loved the advantage arms as a cheap distance trainer. Mine is cut for an optic and shoots amazingly.well (can protect 25 yard targrt.if interested)..does like to run wet. Is more reliable with 10.round mags than my G44

Watched a utoob review from CA. He bought for G17 gen3, and used hollowpoints without problems. I just bought the kit. Can't wait to train.

I use the 17-22 kit for a Gen3 17 or 22 and since the slide is light AL and the Glock lower is also super light, it makes for a real light handy and fun .22.

I found it reliable with Golden Bullets and CCI Mini-Mags. I love mine.

Had ours since 2019 - I got it for my eldest, 11 at that time. We enjoyed it...

And yeah - it is picky with ammo; but once you get what it likes - much reliable. We use CCI Mini-Mag HP: https://www.cci-ammunition.com/rimfi...-mag/6-31.html

The kits are great. One down side to the is they allow sloppy training and Ifind myself not gripping enough when I transition to 9mm. I know this and make sure I follow up with 9. Kits are great keep them clean and they are accurate. Shot 6 rounds through the same hole last night at 7 yards.

Yup and not much price difference.

What's the diff between a dedicated pistol and a conversion slide? 10 seconds to slide it on and using the SAME frame and trigger as your centerfire?

I have plenty of dedicated pistols like a MKII that is not like a Glock and a Walther P22 that is not like a Glock and a GSG 922 that is not like a Glock.

The AA slide is a better .22 than anything besides the single action MKII which is a target gun range toy with aftermarket parts.

What is better practice for a centerfire Glock? Maybe the Glock dedicated .22, maybe not.
