Your holster + adding a wedge makes a world of difference.

I’ve rotated a G26 for years and years. I chuckle when I hear people complaining about how “thick” it is. Sure I’ll carry a 43 or 43x in the rotation, but I really love the 26. I like the fact that the spare mag can be from a Glock 19 or 17 (15 or 17 round magazine) in the pants pocket, while the G26 rides AIWB in a Vedder holster. It doesn’t print at all with my stature.

Then again, I’ll still rotate with much larger and heavier Glocks, Berettas or a Smith in the AIWB position as well. The G26 is a great concealment gun and if you get it, you won’t look back.

This is the only thing that matters when considering G26 or Shield.
This happens to be the G26. I own both.
            I recommend both.

G26 with Pearce +2 is the same length and height as a P365XL and same capacity. The P365XL is noticeably thinner, as is a spare mag which allows for more comfort and more fashionable wardrobe choices. But the thicker G26 can give you a normal sized red dot vs a 507K or something, plus the gear logistics advantage.

I intend to shoot them head to head next time I'm at the range.

Oddly imo the p365xl shoots better and I edc a g19 and love the g26. There is some magic in whatever sig did to the p365xl (esp now thst they fixed the reliability issues)

The g26 does offer better logistics and uses universally availiable glock mags

My only Glock is a 26, it runs right and shoots what I aim at. This coming from a dyed in the
                    wool 1911 shooter.
