Blemish / resale value SP101

I have a 3" Ruger SP101 .357 which has a slight blemish on the right side of the barrel from an ill-advised dremmel polish wheel.

How much does this ding the resale value? These revolvers are around $800 new and seem to sell for $500 or slightly more.

Blemish shouldn’t hurt the resale by much, you could ask $650 OBO.

Well, if we go by this site, the price seems to be around $570.

A RUGER SP101 pistol is currently worth an average price of $567.49 new and $563.47 used .
The 12 month average price is $584.92 new and $571.60 used.

Because of the damage, IF I were buying, I'd consider it at a top price of $400.

As a buyer, I wouldn't view that as "a" slight blemish, it' a bunch of blemishes.

That’s not a blemish. The aesthetics are ruined. I have to ask…what were you thinking? It’s functional, but the owner will be reminded everyday of the “blemish.” To me, it’s a $300 functional gun. That’s it.

If I needed a work, tackle box or truck gun I'd probably split the difference at $425ish. LCRs just fill that niche so well, being ugly right out of the box.
