Standard Manufacturing is at it again

So, a couple of years ago they brought us the Thunderstruck .22 Magnum. This year they launched their "Switch-Gun .22 Magnum".

From this picture it looks like the barrel has screwdriver notches in it. I wonder if it's removable? If it is all that would need to be done is to put in a barrel long enough to get to the OAL requirements for the SAO exemption.

    Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

Interesting, looks to me like a knockoff of the North American Arms mini 22 with the folding type grip.
Not that that’s a bad thing.

The Magnum Holster Grip offers both protection and easy access in one compact design. Made from durable high-impact plastic, this custom carry folding holster grip acts as both a trigger guard and holster. Simply fold it open, and you’re ready to fire. With its ambidextrous clip, it's designed for right- or left-handed use, fitting all Magnum models (except Sidewinder). This versatile grip provides a larger, more secure hold, ensuring total control and quick readiness whenever needed.

Makes me think more of the Lifecard 22

Still has to make the roster, but it’s possible.

If I remember right San Bernardino County does not allow .22 as a CCW caliber.

It's a Single Action Only (SAO) revolver. If I'm correct in thinking that the barrel can be removed they just need to make a barrel long enough to get the OAL to 7.5" and it will be roster exempt.

22mag is a great, up close round.

Me too. I met the owner at SHOT a couple of years ago. I have his email address and will be sending him an email to find out.

                    Too expensive.

Also, there's no way for .22 mag to do a proper burn with a 1" barrel. Instead, they should have made it with a shorter cylinder and a slightly longer barrel in .22 LR.

No, this is too expensive. MSRP is $900

But REALLY cool though. Imagine if they can bump that design up to other 'slim' but higher power cartridges, like .22WMR or 5.7X28. maybe even that new .30-Carry thing.

The expense there is because of what he says at the end - every part of it include the folding case is machined. You're paying for durability rather than injection molded-plastic and pot-metal parts. Yet, that is the same issue that did in the Semmerling.

It would be. But I don't see it happening. The 22lr is rated to about 13,000 psi. The 22mag is up to 23,000 psi. That's a possibility. But, the 9x19, 5.7x28 and the new 30SC are all in the 50,000 psi range. And, forget about the 4.6x30 as that goes to 58,000 psi.

Of all the higher pressure rounds I think the 30SC may have the best chance. With the smaller diameter case they could beef up the frame without it getting too thick.
