    CA Approved Railed 1911s

Anyone have a complete list of railed 1911s that are on the roster?

Trying to tell which of the models on the roster have a rail is a considerable chore. Especially with inventory so spotty on Gunbroker. Would be nice if there was a complete list somewhere I could reference. It would make it easier to hunt one down.

Sig has renewed their 1911's and several of them have rails. Though you would have to consider them 1911's to count.

        Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

LOL, I own a Sig TTT 1911. It performs flawlessly. It was a gift from my Dad. Back when he had an FFL. He's retired now. So I have to buy my own guns.

The next 1911 to make the collection will be something different. I used to own a Kimber and liked it. It might be nice to get an Ed Brown, but none of the CA Approved models have a rail. I want a full powered light on it. The Streamlight TLR6 on my Sig is a little anemic.

I think only the KIMBER WARRIOR II has a rail. I think the other one has a II after it as well. The Kimber TLE/RL II. And of course, the HK USP is not a 1911. But you knew that.

SA Professional 1911 w/rail. I would count it as one of my Holy gRAIL 1911's.

Well if you like your Sig why not get another one? I don't have a Sig 1911, but I have shot one. It's one of the best 1911's I've ever shot.

The one I shot was a SS model with the rail. If I wanted one with a rail, I would really look hard and long at the Sig.

MC Operator. Makes an excellent base gun.

                  Others have already been mentioned.

Just feel like getting something different for the next one.

Like I said above, it is shame the Ed Brown's on the roster don't have a rail. Not only do I love their guns I really like the family/company. I've had the pleasure of having long conversations with them at various SHOT Shows. Great people. Makes me want to give them my money. By contrast, give a choice I don't want to give the folks at Les Baer a dime. They treated me like talking to me was beneath them, and all I was asking was for more info about their products and what it would take for the company I worked for to become a dealer. How you treat people matters, long after that conversation.

Since you don't want another Sig 1911, Get a SA TRP. That would be my choice if I didn't already have a Dan Wesson Specialist (off roster).

The TRP is a sweet gun and great bang for the buck.
If you're rich, get the Nighthawk.

If you decide you don't need the rail, Ed Brown or Les Baer. I LOVE those guns so much, if I didn't have a son I would be buried with them.

But most importantly, get the one that YOU want. You'll know it when you see it!
