As I said, I've got a five inch 929, five inch 627, and five inch 617. You guys are welcome to shoot any of them.

I'm a member at Raahauge's in Corona and The Firing Line in Huntington Beach, let's make some noise !!

I might have the possibility to purchase a S&W 986 Pro. 9mm.... basically it's NIB old stock.....are these good revolvers?

if so, what's a fair price for one nowadays?

        thank you
Hmm... have you consider a .45 ACP revolver instead? I just put this nice S&W 625-8 into jail, bought it from a fellow Calgunner the other day.

As a reloader, I find moon clips to be a plus over shooting my semi auto pistols at the range. No brass chasing means a lot, especially when shooting new factory ammo and you can't wait to tweak them with your handloads!

It's big, it's heavy and the recoil is VERY mild compared to a 1911. The gun is very accurate and a pleasure to shoot.

625 is a fine revo. If you reload, it's so easy to get some nice target/practice loads, and don't have to worry about the stuff having enough power to function the action. Lots of accurate and soft shooting .45 loads available. I'm a fan of the 5" version. I find it much more comfortable if one is shooting warmer stuff.
There are some people that it's just not worth engaging.

It's a muzzle BRAKE, not a muzzle break. Or is your muzzle tired?
