    G43 mag extensions

Recently picked up a G43. Was thinking getting a plus 2 for whiling carrying and getting a plus 4 for my backup mag. Was wondering if these extensions still kept it pretty concealable? What brands you recommend?

Had a Shield plus 2 mag while carrying and worked fine and did not print with the extra mag real estate. Thanks

For swapping baseplates, I would recommend the Vickers +2. Bumps you up to 8+1 while still being very concealable.
The Vickers Tactical Magazine Floor Plate for Glock 42/43 Plus 2 is a high quality, inexpensive option for increasing the capacity and grip size on your single stack Glock magazines, available now through GlockStore.com

If you want to get new mags to hold more rounds, I like the ETS 9rd mags w/xgrip. You can carry as a backup to your Glock/Vickers+2 or just run 2 ETS mags. Most people can get a full comfortable grip with the ETS mags, but they are a bit longer (obviously).
Get a superior grip and extra capacity on a Glock 43 with a ETS mag/X-grip combo. Order your's today at GlockStore.com

I've used an carried both with minimal concealability issues and zero reliability issues.

I use the plus 1 for carry and plus 2 for my extra carry mag. I’ve used them for several years and never have any issues with reliability or durability, I’ve put roughly 3000 rounds through them. Have 2 seven round mags and 3 eight round, can’t remember what brand they are but they are the less costly and lighter plastic type.

I have Pearce +1's and they run 100%

          I also have a TTI +3 and it's also 100% reliable.

I'd recommend selling it and getting a 43X if you want extended magazines. The attraction of the G43 is its small size.

The 43X comes with ten round Glock magazines, and used the same mags as the 48, so Shield Arms magazines bring it to 15 if you're legally allowed by your betters running the state to purchase >10 round magazines or when the mag capacity limits go away.

Yes but the plus 1 ads very little to the small size and having a plus 2 as your backup mag is nice. I also have a 48 I carry with the SA mags, having both gives you flexibility in your carry options.

A G43 with a +1 Pearce, shaved down to the minimum, compared to a 43X - is about the same.

Your idea of about and mine are a little different, the part of the grip that makes the biggest difference is the rear and that difference is very noticeable.

This is with an unshaved plus 1…never mind the dummy grenade, needed something to weigh down the 43 so it would stay flat.

I had reliability issues using the Vickers +2 extensions. They were only reliable with one extra round. I went to the Strike Industry +2 extensions.

I concur with keeping a +1 loaded in the gun and a +2 for backup. I like the Hyve extensions. A +1 is no bigger than stock, which keeps things nice and small. A +2 is noticeably longer which, if kept in the gun itself, defeats the whole point of of carrying a 43.

I'll take that trade every time. Moreso when you add a Shield Arms 15 round magazine.

                              Concur with the 43X recommendation.
