California Glock Question

I have three questions regarding purchasing a Gen 3 Glock on Gun Broker.

1. Are Gen 3 USA made Glocks ok to purchase in CA?
2. Can you purchase a Glock without a magazine?
3. Would a Gen 3 in FDE be legal in CA? (I only see OD on roster)

There are 2 main types of "legal to purchase"
1) purchase from a dealer - new or used
2) purchase from another CA resident aka PPT or private party transfer

#1 needs to be on the roster
#2 can be off roster but still legal to own i.e. non-AW

So to answer your questions
1. No. (corrected by post below)
2. Yes, but you should have a mag with you if the dealer requires you to do a safety demo.
3. If something is not on the roster, you can only purchase via PPT



As for Gunbroker, if the seller is out of state, there are other hoops to jump through. I would suggest you get everything lined up with the seller and your FFL before buying.

FDE is not legal unless PPT from another California resident.

No magazine Austrian made, maybe, have to talk to FFL.

Gen 3 Glocks are in stock in most shops...

Shipping will be $30-$75

Dealer charges another $50 - $100


Why not buy local?

No USA Glocks are on Roster.
Nearly every shop I’ve been to will not release a pistol with no magazine due to the “safe handling demonstration” requirements.
If it’s not on roster, it’s not on roster, and would need to be found used/PPT.

Not if he wants to roll the dice on this one. It's only at $155 and it's only $35 to ship with 2 10-Round Magazines.

Or, he could roll the dice on this one @ $440. It too comes with 2 10-Round Magazines and ships for only $25.

But, if he really wants to make sure that he gets it he can choose the "Buy now" option for $490 plus $25 shipping on that one. GB is now collecting sales tax so he's looking at $554.91 shipped.

And, depending on where he's at he could have the transfer done for $70.00 INCLUDING DROS.

That brings the total to $624.91 OTD.

They're not all $699. There was a Gen 3 17 with night sights last week that sold for $439.

IMO got you guys in ca easier to buy new in store locally like a gen 3.

But if wanted to buy a new one I like my local choices and their in stock again but free states have good options.

If you can find an RTF 2 then I would buy that. Best Gen 3 version made.
