Or am I the only one? I like my XD pistols. Just got a Hellcat I've been enjoying. It just seems like everyone here is Glock, Glock, Glock

Anyone else not own a Glock?

I bought my XD9 before I bought my first Glock (G17). Now the XD kind of collects dust. It's a great firearm, don't get me wrong, but I just prefer the ergos and feel of the Glock.
The XD9 has a Powder River trigger and an extended mag release which improved things, but I prefer the crisper feel of the Glock trigger after dropping in an OEM "-" connector, and much prefer the ergos and feel of the mag release on the Glock after dropping in a Vickers mag release. I wanted a handgun to use for classes, which was the original intent of the XD9, but after getting the Glock it was just the perfect handgun for my intended use.
Both triggers are nice and around the same pull weight. I'd describe the Powder River trigger on the XD9 like biting into a ripe peach, and the Glock trigger like biting into a crisp apple.
I still keep the XD9 around as a backup or as a loaner.sigpicComment

The only Glock I own if a G42. And I only own it because it was the only thing I could find that I could Conceal under my Right Nut in a swimsuit.Only slaves don't need guns

No GLOCKS for me. All SIG with 2 STI/STACCATO right now. Had a GEN 4 -19 first. didn't like it. Felt top heavy to me. Sold it and never tried another.Comment

I got my first Glock at nearly 60 years old. Easy to clean properly. Very basic and never a problem.
Now being a Marine I expect firearms to be clean properly but I have seen 1911s, revolvers and others that per my inspection I have to rate "D". Even as a senior I can clean my Glock in 10 minutes and it is a solid "A". Now a 1911 is a good 45 minutes and a revolver is an hour.
A range day and cleaning 1911s and revolvers requires a nap. Range Day with multiple Glocks to clean, I can watch Full Metal Jacket or Platoon too.

I was in the industry when they first came out. I got to shoot them at an event put on to show them off. I didn't like them then and since they haven't changed them I don't like them now.
I do not own one nor do I plan on owning one.Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

I do get that Glocks aren't the most pleasing firearms to look at. No arguing that.
I'm fairly new to firearms, a rookie for sure. In my 15-16 months of becoming a firearms owner I have taken 5 multi-day handgun classes. I've used a couple Berettas, 1911, XD9 and Glock, and the Glocks are just what I prefer. Absolute easiest gun to gun, easiest gun to manipulate and no sharp edges, no external safeties or decockers to deal with, etc. Nothing wrong with those things if you did them, and I do not regret using any of those firearms in a class. If I came across a 1911 I could pick it up and run it. Same with a Beretta. It's good to know how multiple platforms operate.sigpicComment

I actually have close to a dozen pistols but not one is a Glock. I keep saying how I need one for SHTF day but still haven't gotten around to it. I guess I will just pick one up off a corpse when SHTF.
Plenty of "new" gun owners nowadays.

My first polymer Wonder 9 was actually a .40. Glock 22. Didn't really care for the grip angle, so I sold it. Now my only poly gun is my M&P9. I love that one.The following statement is true.
The preceding statement was false.Comment
