    Seecamp LWS .32

I came across a Seecamp LWS .32 at the gun store and wondering what people think . . . serious option for deep concealment carry, or interesting toy?

I think it's the smallest gun I've seen except derringers, and looks like it would be concealable in clothes where pretty much anything else would be difficult or impossible to conceal.

I haven't fired one though, and also wonder about ammo availability. Seecamp says it only works reliably with specific hollow point rounds from Winchester, Federal, Speer, PMC. And .32 doesn't seem like a very common caliber in general.

    Thoughts?

A lot of people carry it for exactly the reasons you mention. Once broken in it's a very reliable with the right ammo carry gun, from what I've read. The .32ACP is a very common round i that many companies make ammo for it. It's just not stocked by most LGS. You can get it online from many vendors. If you're going to pick it up you should also get your C&R and COE to exempt you from the ammo law.
    Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

May the Bridges I burn light the way.

Fewer people are killed with all rifles each year (323 in 2011) than with shotguns (356), hammers and clubs (496), and hands and feet (728).

I carry mine every day. Not fun to shoot but accurate enough to qualify on my ccw. Silvertips are no longer the only approved ammo.

I've had mine for many years, it's not a CA model. I'll never sell it. I carry even when wearing shorts.

The Cali model has a safety. It is a tiny button at the top of the trigger and not very handy. The guns magazine will only accept shorter length 32 acp ammo so only a few brands fit. Do not try to pull the trigger without the magazine in the gun, you will bend the steel plate that activates the hammer. The mag release is not real handy either. It would not be my choice when intentionally going in harms way. However, it is very well made. Never had a malfunction or jam. The comments above reflect compromises required to make the thing so small, therefor its best feature being it is super concealable. Highly recommended.

Seecamp Firearms finely handcrafts firearms since 1973. Seecamp are the ultimate concealed carry. American made in Southwick, Massachusetts.

Thanks, and good idea on the C&R and COE - that would simplify ordering ammo.

Thanks, that's helpful. I think they had to add a safety for the CA model, from what I can tell.

Thanks, yes when wearing shorts is mainly what I'm thinking of as well, the Seecamp looks like it would work even in shorts with smaller pockets.

Thanks, that's good to know about not pulling the trigger without the mag.

That's the ticket. Slacks, suit pants, shorts. I switched to front pocket carry. It's a gun to carry when you can't carry a gun, or a "church gun", easily concealable in church clothes.

I bought the regular (Non CA) trigger from Seecamp for like $30 and swapped it out using one of the many youtube videos in about 20 mins. Put it in your pocket and you don't even know it's there, especially in shorts.

That's great to hear it works well for you that way . . . that's exactly how I'm thinking I would use it.

I would have one but Riverside County does not allow any caliber smaller than .380 on a CCW permit. I would check your local regulations before buying one.

The California Safety is a simple crossbolt on the trigger. Good to know that it can easily be swapped out. Having it locked at a moment of need is not something I would risk. It is as safe as a modern double action revolver with a round in the chamber.

Thanks, good point. As far as I know my IA doesn't have a rule like that, but it's worth making sure.

The trigger weight does look very similar to a DA revolver - 11.5 lbs in the specs.
