The only firearm I've tried steel cased ammo in that failed is my Ruger SP101 in 9MM. Every other 9MM I have eats it up.I'm retired. That's right, retired. I don't want to hear about the cop who stopped you today or how you didn't think you should get a ticket. That just makes me grumpy!Comment

sig 320 and vp9 both shot it just fine.Comment

I shoot wolf and tula steel cased 9mm ammo almost exclusively and have never had any problem firing it out of any gun.
Only issue is that it can be a bit dirtier. My understanding is that it’s because brass expands faster than steel. So when you shoot brass, it basically seals off the chamber forcing all the gasses out the barrel. But when you shoot steel, it’s possible for gas and other crap to sneak back past the casing. That said, my buddy and I attended an all day class and we both shot glock 19s, me with steel and him with brass, and there was no noticeable difference in the cleanliness of our guns after about 700 rounds.my Benitez goes to 11Comment

I appreciate that you shared the info thank you. If someone’s running close to zero rounds, that’s really helpful
But that’s almost 3x the pre covid price for steel case 9mm and I stacked deep enough not to be forced into buying at that price level.Comment

I've tried Tulammo in the following handguns.
1.) Ruger Security-Six, GP-100, and SP-101 (all .357M)
2.) S&W 19, 66, and 686 (all .357M)
3.) Glock 17, 19, and 21
4.) Springfield XD 9mm
5.) Several brands of 1911 (.45 ACP)
The notion that steel-cased ammo is somehow "bad" for a gun is horse-hockey. Sure, steel cases are harder than brass, but they ain't harder than the steel used in the gun parts. If it were bad for guns, Federal and Winchester wouldn't make it.
And since someone mentioned the separate subject of reloading....
Yes, I also reload steel cases, as long as they're Boxer-primed. They actually do pretty well."San Francisco Liberal With A Gun"

I’ve had great success out of my CZ 75 P01, SIG SAUER P226 SCORPION ELITE, and SPRINGFIELD ARMORY 1911 TARGET LOADED. TulAmmo and Winchester brown box USA are what I ran through these 3 guns without any issues at all. The only trouble was the Winchester was just a dirty, dirty brand...more so than Tula. I kept an eye on my extractors just in case, but never saw excessive wear or anything. Accuracy was not much different than with brass cased ammo, but at the time, steel cased was cheap to shoot.Comment

I miss the cheap steel 9mm from a few years ago,
it’s a great training round. My PCC ate it up like an
obnoxious fat chick in a tiktok video. Tula/Wolf/Win.
