    Browning 1911-22 Non Detachable Magazine

Has anyone found a way to make the magazine of a Browning 1911-22 A1 non detachable such that it can't be detached/ejected/released/removed without use of a tool?

Presumably, this would require modification or replacement of either the magazine release button/mechanism and/or the magazine itself

Is there a gunsmith who can do this for me professionally so that it looks factory original?

    Please PM any response

    Thanks for your courtesy

      Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

The language was changed years back...

        https://leginfo.legislature.ca.gov/f...r=2.&article=1.

A semiautomatic pistol that does not have a fixed magazine but has any one of the following:

        b) For purposes of this section, “fixed magazine” means an ammunition feeding device contained in, or permanently attached to, a firearm in such a manner that the device cannot be removed without disassembly of the firearm action.

So the old “tool” requirement doesn’t matter anymore.
