    Thanks Kamala.
You must not actually be that old...law was signed by the republican governator in 2007 and went active when an LA gun shop decided to start selling them some years later.
In 2006, the CA legislature passed it and Gov Schwarzenegger signed it.

It was suppose to go into effect on 01-01-2007, but it did not because of the way it was written it could not go into effect until all patents associated with microstamping technology became unencumbered in 2025 or when the CA AG certifies that technology is feasible and not covered under any patents.

CA AG Harris certified microstamping on 05-17-2013, which caused the microstamping requirement to go into effect on that date.

No handgun that has a microstamping array has ever been listed on the CA Roster of Handguns Certified for Sale or has ever been made and sold in the USA.

In 10-2013, the Armatix iP1 was listed on the CA Roster of Handguns Certified for Sale.
The Armatix iP1 was a "smartgun" that did not have a microstamping array, was made in Germany, and imported into the USA.
It had been submitted for testing prior to the microstamping requirement became active and was listed after all of it's "smartgun" elements were finally approved for importation for commercial sale to the USA.

I’m about to pick up a shield but if I could carry 10 rounds that’d be pretty great
My Shield at 8+1 is just fine with the 8 round stock magazine. So 9 is not 10, big deal. I carry extra mags in a quick access pack so I'm good.

Another thing. Adding rounds increases weight. My G19 with a fully loaded 15 round magazine is a chunk to carry.

Thank you for clearing that up, I didn't remember the Governator having been involved in it, just remember Harris and Jerry Brown making it law.

Fells like **** in the hand. Not a fan of the texture or the frame coatings. Also Frames feels very cheap. Shield V1/V2 in my opinion are better. But I would pick the Sig 365 over the plus.

I use Magguts +2 in my 8 rounders. That's going to be your best bet. I've heard good things about the Hyve ones too, but have no experience.
