    Coonan 1911 style .357

Hey all, I've been in contact with the folks at Coonan Inc. over the past several months and since I've seen several threads here related to the Coonan .357 I thought I'd share what I've been told. They are back in business and in the process of bringing the Coonan .357 back into production. They are making some modifications to the magazine and other small improvements but most importantly for us here in California, they are planning to submit it for inclusion on the Handgun Roster. For reasons of courtesy, I won't quote the email I received from them but I don't think it could hurt if inquiring Calgunners confirmed this info by asking themselves. If we let them know they have an interested market over here it might help speed the process along. www.coonaninc.com

BTW, I am in no way affiliated with them...I've just been looking for one of their nifty pistols for the last couple of years.

The way some gunshop clerks spout off, you'd think that they invented gunpowder and the repeating rifle, and sat on the Supreme Court as well.

Good to hear....I wonder how they are going to work the magazine disconnect into it. They were always a nice personable small company. Sent me a nice 8"x10" frameable photo when I made in inquiry....

Does this mean I'll be able to get magazines for less than $125 a piece???? (good thing I bought them before they all dried up and the prices skyrocketed)

Awesome news! I've emailed many times without a reply. I'm in dire need for a lost ejector.

Coonan .357, Duke Nukem Forever edition.

Seriously, though, they won't be CA-approved. LCI + mag disconnect = no way.
