I usually carry a G22. I also sometimes carry an alloy frame full size Para but with a full 14 rd mag of 45ACP it is pretty bulky and heavy. The G22 even with an extended mag of 17 rds of 40 is thinner and lighter then the Para.

Yeah, it's unfortunate that Glock doesn't make a semi-auto pistol with more powerful cartridge than .45 acp 1911s, and holds substantially more rounds.

      Oh wait.

+1 for the compact glocks (19/23). as others said, the first thing most people do is put a finger extender on the subcompact glocks. that brings the size up to what a compact glock is anyway. imho, the subcompact glocks do not conceal much better than a compact glock. especially if you end up adding finger extender to the subcompact, as the grip is typically what prints most when carrying. and when you consider the natural grip of the compact, the fact that it has a rail, and the fact that almost any holster for the full size glock will work with the compact glock, the benefits outweigh any size "advantage" of the smaller subcompact.

I find my G19 conceals quite well and is very comfortable to carry concealed. Holster choice has alot to do with it.

The one you can't buy ammo for? Neat... And then you get to deal with glock triggers. Yay.

I was heckling a local, not trying to start ANOTHER glock war with rabid glock fans.

you can always get the grip extension on the 26 or 27 IF you need it.

and they make a 9mm conversion for the g27 although you cant go 40 from the g26

IMO, depends on your body size and how well you can shoot with each. If you have a smaller frame, a sub-compact will definitely be the better choice, unless you shoot really poorly with it. I'd get a pinky extension for a few of the magazines as well.

My two main ccw pieces are a G19 and G29. I find that they pack almost identically for me. Nowadays its the G29 and a preban reload. 26 rounds of 10mm are good enough for most social situations.

In Glocks I like compact or full size frame. With higher recoil calibers in sub compacts you may experience a pinky pinch.

Qualifying this with: I am not a Glock person.

When I shoot friends' Glocks (and they are fun to shoot, I just can't help but point left with them), the true subcompacts in .40 are about the most uncomfortable things there are. Even with a high cap to hang onto, not something I would trust if my life depended on it. As much a concealment is a concern, trust and familiarity are more of a concern for a CCW piece, to me.

Most people seem to say that there is not much difference between a G19 and a 26, that extra half inch or so makes a world of difference for me in a IWB holster. I'm 5 10" 145, no matter how hard I try I can't get my G19 to not print through a t-shirt, the 26 disappears once placed right.
