Haha. Seriously...I don't show it on my face but inside my head, that is what is going on sometimes during ammo hunts...

Eh, they're not as bad as prices on here...

But since the rationing began, the ammo shortage has gotten worse for me. I'm not a hoarder beyond what I like to keep on hand, but I never had a problem getting cheap ammo until they started rationing.

steel cased Blazer doesn't count. Who wants to run that through their precious 1911?

Its aluminum not steel. And guns were made to be shot, not babied.

Ammo shortage does seem to be easing up slightly. I just bought some of the SA 308 from AIM.

A guy is dropping off 5 200 round battle packs of W. German 7.62 NATO at my office today - $500.00 - his asking price, I didn't haggle.

It could be that some hoarders will be getting their CC bills, and see that they've overextended themselves.
The way some gunshop clerks spout off, you'd think that they invented gunpowder and the repeating rifle, and sat on the Supreme Court as well.

I would fire it if my range would allow it. But 3 ranges around me won't allow it

Discounted, eh? Natchez is charging $460/1000rnds for Blazer aluminum before shipping. That's outrageous IMO.

                        I need to hit a gun show to buy reloads. I have 9mm... I can't find .45.

Why wouldn't they allow steel casing? I can see steel core, but not casing,

                            It's aluminum.

Time to start reloading. I am never out of ammo. I pick up brass at the range each time I am there. Primers and bullets are relatively cheap(cheaper if you hunt for deals) and a pound of powder goes a long way in a pistol. I reload for every caliber I shoot(except for .22LR and .17HMR of course) with a cheap Lee Anniversary kit I picked up years ago. It isn't fancy but it was inexpensive and it gets the job done.

A couple weeks ago Walmart Monrovia had lots of 9mm and 40 Blazer Brass. I bought my limit, then the next day my wife and I bought our limit. After work the following day I bought 6 more boxes. I stopped buying because I thought the ammo shortage was over. Few days ago I checked and they were out again! I'm glad I got some since 9mm was $9 and 40sw was $13. That beats Reddings WWB for $26, limit one box!
