    Ammo shortage improvement?

Like most people here, I have been following the ammo shortage closely because I like to visit the range frequently and normally consume a fair amount of practice ammo. Since the election I have noticed that 9mm is the toughest caliber to find, of those that I use regularly.

I periodically check the web vendor Natchez Shooters' Supply (www.natchezss.com), from whom I have often bought in years past. For several months Natchez has generally showed no ammo available in 9mm, of any brand. But yesterday I visited the website and saw 7 different types of 9mm practice ammo available:

    1. Blazer 115 grain - $13.99
    2. Blazer 124 grain - $13.99
    3. Remington UMC 124 grain - $18.31
    4. Speer 124 grain - $14.99
    5. American Eagle 115 grain - $14.99
    6. American Eagle 124 grain - $18.64
    7. Magtech 115 grain - $16.09

Granted that the prices are not bargains, but at least they have some product in 9mm to sell. I hope this is a ray of light that the shortage may be easing.

Damn......I remember when I could walk into walmart anyday of the week and grab a couple of the 100rd WWB valuepacks for about $11 a piece. To bad I wasn't forward thinking enough to hedge my dollar against inflation and shortage back then huh?

Yeah! Did you find any 22lr in bulk packs? Midway had some, but they are limiting sales to one per customer only. Kind a $&cks when I have to pay shipping.

Slowly it'll get better. I hope. I found a couple of boxes of 9mm at wallymart this morning. I feel privileged.
I say we take off and nuke the entire site from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.

I stopped at the Wal-Mart in Fontana, San Dimas, and Monrovia on Wednesday. Mother Hubbard's cupboards were bare, except for shotgun shells...

My neighbors wife located 22 ammo at walmart in Redlands but was restricted to 6 boxes, when I was in there 2 weeks ago they had 9mm ammo but one customer bought 5 boxes which was all of it but no 22lr or any other calibers. When I asked for 22lr the all knowing clerk tried to sell me 22mag I explained the difference ,the price was $17.95 per 50 round box & it's still sitting there untouched.

those would be great prices if they were for 100 rounds

Try miwall or outdoor marksman. When they have it there price is good.

I think that the retailers are limiting the amount of boxes you can buy.
Now you can find some ammo because the hoarders are not taking it all with them.

I'm heading to Utah and Montana. Will check on ammo supplies up there.

Finally came across WWB .40 SW at my local walmart yesterday. They had it partially hidden in their ammo display case on the very bottom. I bought the four they had. Price per box $16 and change. At least Walmart hasn't jacked up the prices yet.

I would say the ammo shortage is a little better than it was 2 months ago, but still has a long way to go to return to normal.
