Osage orange is a wood with a kinda sorta aged ivory look. These are from Culina. Not sure who would make 'em for an M9.
          OOOH! Never mind!

The material you are looking for is "Ivory Paper Micarta" it is used extensively for custom Knife Handles.

I looks like real Ivory, and it also ages like real Ivory. It is extremely durable, you should be able to find grip panels for a b92 made from this material.

I don't think Ivory Micarta is he same as 'Bonded Ivory" but I am not sure, maybe it's the same thing, with a new marketing name, since "Micarta" is a trademark of Westinghouse.

<Micarta is available in many types and colors. They are all different substrates bonded together with Phenolic Resin. Paper. Linen, Canvas, and then Wood Verniers. The wood based material is called Pakkawood. All these substrates are completely saturated with Phenolic Resin and are then compressed under pressure during curing so the end result is effectively a solid Resin Block.

            Randy.

Pretty sure you can get ivory, just can't sell it or offer it for sale. But I've been wrong before.

I like the camel bone grips I had carved by Tommy 2 Feathers grips. They have the look and feel similar to ivory since they are actual bone, and are aging very nicely. He has all sorts of materials available, several of which I think would give you the look you're after.
