Colt MKIV, Series 70 in .45

Sorry, no pic as it was taken from me in a burglary in the 1980s (pre vault days) by some mouth breathing, knuckle dragging, likely voted for the left piece of s**t. May he rot slowly.

My first handgun was a S&W 686, 6" I bought in 1985 for $250 NIB from Beach Cities Armory, IIRC.

My first was a Wyoming Arms Parker Compact .45 that I bought for $145 at Beach Cities Armory in Hermosa Beach(I wish they were still around!). Anyway, the gun was a complete POS and I traded it back in when I got a Beretta 92G. It looked just like this except that mine did not have adjustable sights:

Technically, my first handgun was a .44 cal black powder Uberti. I still have it but it needs some TLC to be a shooter again.

My first centerfire was a Ruger GP100 .357 mag. I Still have it and still shoot it.

Walther P99AS. I'll see about posting a pic later.

Great gun though. I've bought a few since then but it's still far and away my favorite.

It's not actually the first handgun I've owned though. I "inherited" a Jennings J-22 from my grandfather when I was younger. What a piece of crap that was.

I bought my first gun right after the LA riots, as I had just turned 21. It was a Glock 17, and I still have it, shoot it, and carry it when I want a reliable trail gun out in the boonies.

In 1967 as a young man in the Air Force, stationed in Honolulu, Hawaii I bought my first handgun a Ruger Single-Six convertible. Had a Micro adjustable rear sight with corresponding front sight installed on it. I still have it today but with all the moving and what not I lost the Mag cylinder some where a long the way. I still shoot it now and again especially in the climate today where ammo is hard to find.
