Get on the mailing list at Sportsman Warehouse (corona ) and Riflegear,
I bought a 4" at Riflegear and 6" at Sportsman for $1499.00 each plus tax and dros. I own several blued ones and I can attest to the quality of the new ones.
The action is super smooth, the finish is impeccable. Colt uses a better stainless alloy and CNC machining which makes for a superb firearm. Back in the day prior to CNC, the pythons were "hand fitted" to make a quality firearm.

Any kind of back ordering, or deposit placing on a gun is typically not a good idea. Especially when times are rough like this. At first it make sense, be the first in line. But often times companies mis-place that line because they have created a new line. Its a mess. Also, distributors don’t even know when they are going to supply certain stores. Sportsmans had these available (and if you live far from a Sw, well you’d have to drive a couple hours) a lot a few months back. I probably posted them in stock on the deals page over 6 times myself. Marketplace, Deals, Colt Python 6” SW.

Your best bet is to talk to an employee you trust and get their opinion. It may not be correct, but you could leave the deposit as you search elsewhere. Then, if you end up getting one. Get that deposit back. I juggled a few of these and at the end of the day, the deposit/back orders weren’t fun tracking down. I won’t do be doing that again.

be patient, set up an account with Riflegear in fountain valley and Sportsman's
warehouse in Corona. They will email you when they receive them. Sportsman
received 15 6" PYTHONS last month, I bought one of those for $1499.00 plus fees. DON'T pay 2K!

True. I was looking for a while for a Chiappa Rhino just because it looks cool. Had a few local that were selling for $1500(!). Buddy let me shoot his GP100 and hey its pretty cool. I was set on having one on order, even it it isnt really a "rare" firearm, but decided to just try my luck for a couple of months. Ended up scoring a minty gp 100 blued on consignment for half what I wanted to spend on the chiappa. Couldnt be happier.

I figured I would bump this post rather than make a new one.

Turners has the 6" in stock as of this morning.

I bought one, total came out to $1767.64. Not the best deal in the world but not too bad.
Just thought I'd share in case you're like me and have to have one

i pre ordered both mine from turners and got them for 150 bucks less than msrp today. add in tax and i saved about 330 bucks. and just from handeling them im very happy with em. but how the market is today i would go after what i want with vigor. i waited but got a good price. heck i ordered a citadel mil spec 38 super in october and still waiting. turners is the only store we have in salinas that sells hand guns. so they are thee store here.

I got lucky. I walked into Sportsman in Brentwood, just kill time and they had a 6 inch. I pick it up in 6 days. $1499.

I think your best bet is gonna be to sign up for restock notifications on sites like Riflegear and then try to snatch it up as quick as you can.
