Come on Man! Even with my advanced disclaimer there’s no escape from the kindness of CGN members.

BTW, Screaming For Vengeance was my all time favorite album when I was in high school. I played it so much my boombox ate the tape.

OEM mags for older S&W like this can be spendy. I would suggest you make a habit of checking on the Gunparts Co. Web site from time to time. What may be out of stock today might be in stock tomorrow.

I had a similar issue with a 3rd generation S&W. After patiently searching on eBay, where magazines for mine typically run $65-$120 each, in two years I was able to score just one for $35. Fortunately some time after, Gunparts apparently decided to clear their inventory of magazine tubes and started selling complete magazines (which I expect they assembled themselves from parts), which allowed me to score some for $45 each, with tax and shipping.

Be patient, search diligently. Never know what you can find.

Going off recollection they only made the 3906 for a year or two. San jose police bought a large portion of them. Sjpd didn't trust their officers with a gun with more than 8-9 rounds in the magazine. Different time period for sure......now you see sjpd officers running around with glock fun sticks on their duty belts.

Great gun. Thanks for posting a picture. Let us know how the Promag works out.

To date, I actually haven’t had a misfeed or issue with any of them in the limited times I’ve taken it out. Then again the 4506 will cycle like few others so ymmv...

Got my hopes up. My MecGar 5906 mags have been superb, works great with the 5906 and Camp 9. So far Promag is +1 and -1 in my experience. Sig P6 was positive, and the big fluke was with a Mini-14.

Wasn’t sure if they made grip length change from Gen-1 to Gen-3. Cool! Thanks.
