    $55 to ship a slide?

So, a few weeks ago I noticed that the front night sight on my used Sig P320 SC slide was out. I decided to call Sig and see if they were covered under warranty even though I bought the slide used. The lady I spoke with said yes but that they would not cover shipping. She said that shipping would be $55. I'm not sure if this is the for both ways or just the return but in either way I thought it too much. I think I'll just keep it as it is.
    Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

You can find cheaper shipping, rates depend on insurance but 2nd day with $400 insurance is probably half that.

Are you sending it all the way to Germany? That seems very excessive.

You could send it with a pre paid label for the return shipping and take them out of the loop.

Well that's what I was thinking, after I hung up the phone.

I think I'll reach out to the guy how helped me when I sent in my 320 for the safety upgrade and see what he says. I still have his email address.

I just checked on USPS and with $400 insurance it would cost me $14.20 one way. It should be the same coming back as that was the rate for the small flat rate box which only takes 3 days, give or take.

                        The sight is out?

Did it fall out or did the tritium in the sight stop glowing?

If it fell out, buy a nice replacement set - or just the front

Brownells is a good starting place

As a second generation German, I can assure you that anything when it comes to German-made products never comes cheap. But this seems excessive.
