Xd compact trigger for small hands

My sister has really small hands. After trying a number of guns she bought an XD9 sub compact because it felt the best to here. She still has trouble fully reaching the trigger.
Is there a trigger on the market that would take up some of the pre travel to bring it back just a bit? Or does the trigger still start from the same spot with the upgraded triggers?
    Thanks

I searched "XD trigger kit" and clicked on the first result.

    Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

Yes I’m aware of how google works. And that there are triggers that reduce the pretravel. But does it say that the trigger starts farther back or is it in the same position with less pretravel due to the redesigned trigger.
I was hoping someone that installed one could tell me.

I'd say get some instruction 1st if she hasn't already had some. Preferably a little 1-on-1 time with a qualified instructor who can truly tell if her issues will be solved by proper grip or not. There is such a thing as under and oversized, for some.

If an XD subcompact really isn't working for her, look into other pistols. Shoot/try everything you can find. Possibly a Shield, Sig P238, Glock 26 or similar.

Trigger mods should be the LAST thing you look at.

disclaimer - I have smallish hands and I shoot the my XD full-size just fine.

I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not.

OP asked for recommendations for a mod on an existing subcompact. Going bigger may not be the recommendation, granted but it's good to consider options. If we're looking at full-size pistols, I don't know many people personally who haven't liked a 1911-type for a grip feel, especially with a trigger length that fits their hand (I prefer the short one).

I have shot several subcompacts. They are not hard to shoot, at least not for me. Harder to hit targets at long range? Maybe. The Shield in particular, I feel, shoots as well as most guns that are a size larger. I quite like that one.

Dasouza - what is your sister wanting to use said pistol for? Home defense? Range fun? Carry? A mixture of those?

I agree with this. If this is a range gun, has she gone to the range with it yet? It is not the most enjoyable gun to shoot specifically due to the size. If the issue really is with her "small hands", the "fix" is not a trigger job. The grip on XD is fat. Training will help but if it doesn't "fit" and feel good in the hand why continue to use it?

Slimmer grip profile, maybe a single stack, on a larger gun is going to be easier and more comfortable to shoot.

She has been to classes with the instructors I use. I’m fully confident in them. She shoots it fairly good but would benefit from just a tiny bit more finger on the trigger.
She also has shot a Shield and multiple Glocks. The XD was the one shelf most comfortable with overall.

She didn’t get a subcompact because she’s a woman. It’s going to be her carry gun so she wanted a smaller one. She also shoots full size pistols but always has trouble reaching the trigger with short fingers.

So it’s primarily her carry gun but does get range time for fun. There are other weapons fir home defense.

After a few months the trigger safety broke. Trigger still works fine, fwiw.

Btw pretty sure the XD and XDSCs have the same dimensions except for height.
