    New Python 6” with pictures

Not best pictures with heat and nosey neighbors limiting my outside time. DA trigger pull is over 8 lbs, SA 5 lbs clean. No muzzle pic but it’s fine. QR tag codeon trigger guard shows date 07/17/2020. Someone asked about top strap but I don’t see anything unusual same with the barrel throat.Grips feel ok but look hideous in my opinion. Last two pictures arewithoriginaltype grips. B/C gap is .0035 which is about perfect, with no endshake. I questioned the size of the cylinder locking bolt that comes up thru the frame and locks into the cylinder notches. It is definitely smaller then the original, that concerns me with a lot of 357 Magnum use. The original Pythons were noted for going out of time and needing parts replacement. I’m not a metallurgy expert but it does make me wonder. There will be no range report,as I’m not sure I’m keeping it. There is no magic shooting these since I’ve shot several Pythons since 1971 along with shooting a legal M16A1 that I purchased new ($2500)when I lived in Maine. Pete.

    That does look nice!

I wonder how it will hold up under constant use. Heavy loads and such.

    But, I do like it.

    Take care

      Fingerprint. Fingerprint. Fingerprint.

      I see a fingerprint.

I mean, it's a Mk V not a true Python, so it has the improved lockwork. I'm not really a Colt guy (poor, not stupid) so I'm not sure if it's closer to a MK V Trooper (which had a vent rib option) or a Boa.

For some reason I thought all the new ones were stainless.

Funny how that member actually likes Nighthawk for 1911 or revolvers but is too cheap to get one. He also has a fancy for HK P7's too. Poor guy doesn't know how to enjoy the finer things in life.

Just remember, you can't take it with you so get what you want while you still can.

I am no connoisseur, but that thing looks amazing. I had a chance to buy a 6” just a few days ago but the sale I had lined up for my HK fell through. I’ll get one eventually. Why the QR code? It looks so strange on a gun. Especially one as nice as this.

You and everyone else that sees it, no doubt. That revolver is lovely.

OP, why wouldn't you keep it? Forgive me, but...isn't that kinda the point, to enjoy shooting it?

Your CP is very nice and +100 for the original grips on the last two pictures....I agree comparing the two grips the OG type are definitely better looking. Congratulations 👏!
