I checked a couple of places, didn't find any. So I thought I'd ask here. Also, it's fun to talk about guns, y'know, on a gun forum.

      Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

I ordered one in black in early March from Sportsmans Warehouse - unfortunately since they come from hard hit Brazil, it may be some time until they get back into full production. They’ve been sold out since early April as far as I can tell.

I've checked out gun broker. But, I've never bought a firearm on the internet.
I always like to be able to check something out in person before I buy it. I was hoping there would be some local gun stores that had one in stock.

Well, since you don't list where you are in you profile and you didn't say where you were looking this is the best anyone can offer you. Have fun shopping.

Point taken. But, seeing as how most local places are wiped out. Maybe it's time to try something new, and give Gunbroker a shot. Also, to answer your question, I'm in the Central Valley, around Fresno.

Be diligent to make sure prior to bidding on gunbroker that the seller will ship to California and jump through the hoops. I recently went through an ordeal. Never got the gun and gunbroker was less than helpful to me.

This is what makes me a bit nervous. Thanks for the heads up.

I've done 10 deals on gunbroker. I have a 50% success rate. I am very well versed in California law and only bid on legal items. Some sellers use the blanket statement "no sales to california, but on a california compliant firearm they will ablige and jump through the hoops. Some say "no sales to california" and they don't care if legal sale, they don't want to play ball. Some don't say anything and when asked say sure, but then realize the hoops and back out, sometimes trying to make you pay their fees using shifty verbiage.

Since nobody brought it up yet...

Taurus had issues with QC and some batches were lemons, while some other batches had no problems. It's sort of a gamble. At least it used to be, so Taurus got a bad rap. If you're getting a Taurus, it's a good idea to get one locally so you can both check it out and you have a place to bring it back for warranty - it will be serviced by Taurus, but the local store can ship it for you as part of their service.

Adding your location might help with that...

If none of the local shops have one and you don’t want to buy one from Gun Broker you could sign up for the “in stock alert” from Sportsman’s Warehouse. Once the gun is in stock you can pay for it and when it arrives to the store you can check it out.

Thanks for the heads up regarding Sportsman's. There is one locally, I didn't know that was an option. I'll go and get that set up right now. Thanks, man!
