Anyone have one of these? I've wanted an STI for years, and it looks as though this is probably one of the only options that will ever come down the pike. Does the extra cost on this pistol put it above and beyond a USP Expert? This is definitely a question open to interpretation, but any opinion here is welcome.

Lastly, for those of you who have purchased one, how much did it cost you when all was said and done? PM me if you can put me together with one.

I've handled both- The Bar Sto is well made, and priced accordingly. I picked up a USP Elite, and it's probably one of the most accurate pistols I own- shoot both (if you can) and pick the one you like best, I think you'll be happy with either!

I know a coulpe of guys who own then and have shot a couple of Bar-Sto's. They are well made guns and very accurate. The fit is comparable to any STI. If you want the 2nd best hi-cap 1911's in CA or want to complete in USPSA in CA its your best choice. #1 choice is the SV Infinity but its not a long dust cover and a bit more expensive.

Just my opinion, I'm biased because I own 5, but I like the SV Infinity Guns. They are the same design as STI and Bar-Sto but they have a better trigger system, interchangable breech face slide so you can change calibers without changing the slide, fancier machining, better grip options, more inovations ideas,like the Sight Tracker guns with the front sight on the barrel not the slide. They are not cheap but in my opinon they are worth it.
