The VP9 is an architect's Glock. Like Festool or Fein products, it is simply a superior quality tool that makes any task, easier and more enjoyable.

^^^^ Interesting analogy. The VP9 is HK's very refined rendition of a striker fired handgun. I have several VP9's.

The VP9 sk is the HK answer to a sub-compact 9mm striker fired pistol for CCW.

I carry both the VP9 and the VP9sk interchangeably.

Me too. and I would say it is very similar in size to a Glock 19.

As far as a HK similar in size to a Glock 43-- the choices above seem like good ones.

My USP9c's are the most reliable guns I own and just never fail.

More ubiquitous? I almost pulled the trigger on a lightly used USP 45 for $550 about a year ago. Ultimately I went in another direction. Could've doubled my money in today's market, lol.

Theres a greater demand for Glock 9mm’s, yet glock 45acp’s are more expensive.
Maybe it has something to do with USP’s being designed around the 40S&W?

I didn't say whether HK or Glock has the correct business model. The answer is in sales volume for each company, overall production numbers and profit margin each company has on each model line they offer.

Glock sells and produced a lot more units of their pistols. They don't need to lower price to facilitate sale.

Also, mentioned is listed price for the USP45. But, it is not in stock. Given current market conditions in CA, if is ever in stock again, I seriously doubt you'll see it listed for the same price.
