    My first Glock - A G22

Just picked up my first Glock and first .40. I have only 9mm pistols and ammo. I have already purchased a Lone Wolf 22 to 9mm conversion barrel on order and plan to shoot 9mm exclusively. I already own a few 17 magazines.

    What else is a necessity?

I have used the Storm Lake conversion barrels in the G35, G23 and G22. Have been completely reliable and also seem a bit more accurate (heavier thicker barrels?).

It is a great gun. I would leave it as a .40SW but that's just me. Get some sights that fit the mission, either defense or target, if you are just looking to upgrade something

Maybe a lower power recoil spring? Don't quote me on that though.

I like adding an extended take down lever & an extended mag release to my Glocks.other than that, just more ammo. Maybe sites down the road.

Get some real sights for it.

                  Congrats on the new pistol.

That’s a shooter OP. The G22 was the first pistol I ever bought when I turned 21. Shot it for about 10 years then sold if after I got a G19. After buying several more 9mm pistols and a 9mm carbine I never looked at the .40 again.

IF I was gonna own a Glock , that's the one I would get - even moreso now, as .40 is easier to find than 9mm or .45

Shot buddy's G23 many, MANY moons ago, but always prefer the full-size version. NOW stockpile some good defensive ammo, and at least 10 more mags

Congrats! For now all you need is ammo, ammo, and more ammo. Sights and triggers can go on the back burner for now. If that cage in the background of your picture was 9mm and/or 40.....you should have said to the shop, and "I'll take that whole cage."

                        That black pistol looks primal...

My first Glock was also a 22, but that was many many years ago. I’ve since added two more 22’s and a crap load of other Glocks, I shoot 40 out of mine no conversions and yes ditch those plastic sights and your good to go.
Im a warmonger baby, I got blood in my eyes and I'm looking at you.
