    Am I missing something? How do you put together a 2011 semi auto without manufacturing or assembling an unsafe handgun?

      Many dealers will not do just a bare handgun frame.
      If you have a dealer telling you no worries then even better.
      Yes, one of the well known FFL in my area told me it's good to go, but after reading the inputs here, I am not so sure. LoL

                I would recommend Venom Custom for your build.

                He does fantastic work. And his guns flat run.

                And he is a great guy to deal with. I have a couple open guns he has built for me.
