Beretta 92 style with replaceable sights

    Hi guys,

I was wondering if anyone knows which model Beretta 92 style pistol listed on the Cali roster has REPLACEABLE front and rear sights?

I my opinion the all black Beretta 92 is the most beautiful handgun ever made. Maybe I watched to many European spy movies growing up.

I would like to buy an all black, no rail 92 style with replaceable front and rear sights. If there is no such animal, then maybe one with a rail.

Any Beretta experts out there ?

    Brigadier slide is the answer.

I would love to avoid the heavier slide if possible.

However I have never held a 92 without and with the Brigadier slide so I'm ignorant.

Is there a noticable difference in weight ?

Any beretta model with the vertec or brigadier slide has replaceable sights

The weight difference is negligible. Even the way the pistol cycles is negligible. You will find out however pistols with brigadier slides do command more money.

the only Berettas on roster with dovetailed sights are the Brigadier, Vertec, and 92G-SD (Brigadier slide). I don’t know if any currently in production that have standard slides with replaceable sights.

100% agree. The Black M9 is the most beautiful gun ever produced.

Sounds like the 92FS Brigadier would be what I'm looking for.

Will it shoot with the magazine disconnected ?

I also want it stamped "made in italy" on the side.

They don't have a mag disconnect, but I don't know about that made in Italy designation.

I personally haven't found any Brigs that are made in Italy. Both of the ones I've bought are USA.

                  Ahhh bummer.

                  If I purchased a regular 92 then I wouldn't have night sights right ?

And even if it did come with them, once they died I wouldn't be able to replace the front night sight away.

                  Correct ?

Not 100% sure but all the ones made in Italy are INOX that I have seen.

                    JS92F565M 92FS Brigadier Inox (made in Italy) USD 899.00 Dbl/Sngl 9mm 15
                    JS92F565 92FS Brigadier Inox (made in Italy) USD 899.00 Dbl/Sngl 9mm 10
                    J92F560M 92FS Brigadier Inox USD 845.00 Dbl/Sngl 9mm 15
                    J92F560 92FS Brigadier Inox USD 845.00 Dbl/Sngl 9mm 10

You can send in your fixed sight slide to Wilson Combat for "green or red fiber optic"
Have seen night sights installed before, not sure who is still doing it.
If you find the older slide with fixed front tritium sights I would pass.
In accordance with Trijicon’s radiation safety
program and ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) contamination /
exposure principles, Trijicon will no longer be servicing Beretta Slides
that have fixed front sights and any other slide
                    that has fixed front sights.

Slides that are returned to Trijicon which
contain broken tritium sources and are deemed non-warrantable (e.g. due
to intentional damage, misuse, or warranty expiration) will be scrapped
and not be returned to the customer
                    .

Additionally, Trijicon will no longer perform new
tritium source installation into firearms or pistol slides with integral
fixed sights. This is intended to protect our customers from the
potential situation in which such a source could
become broken and not be repairable / returnable.

Your understanding and cooperation in this matter is greatly appreciated."

Ouch $$$$ found one that is a pin over front sight.

You mean I could just buy a regular "made in Italy" stamped 92 and add night sights through Wilson Combat ??

One more question are there any on roster 92s that have the decocker only, no safety?

I believe there "is" a G model on roster but Beretta does not produce that model anymore. Yet, you can always buy the G conversion parts kit from Beretta if you don't mind the weak side safety sticking out a bit.

You can buy fully assembled vertec slides from Beretta (no barrel). They have them in stock from time to time. Vertec slides also go on sale on beretta forums and other online gun sites.

My Brigadier INOX is Italian made but maybe it's because it is INOX?

No they are fiber NOT tritium

Can add this from Beretta, sometimes can get another 20% to 40% around the Holidays.
