Also, check out speed loaders from 5 Star. These are great for revolvers not cut for moon clips, or just to have around and use at the range. (More convenient to use at the range when reloading speed is not a factor.)
Wow, those are some nice speed loaders! Thanks for the rec!

Ya, trying to line up 8 rounds might take some practice. That just means more range time heh heh...

The factory moon clips are made by TK, those are the ones you want.
At TK Custom, we're experts when it comes to revolver moon clips and accessories. Visit us to take a look at our products, services, and resources.

Their moon clip loader and unloader work awesome as do their moon clips, those are what I use.
So far I've found that Sellier&Bellot, Prvy Partizan, and CCI ammo has worked best with the TK moon clips. I tried PMC and that stuff did not work at all.
Now when I say "work" I mean the rounds load easily and they are not too tight in the moon clip. Once they're loaded they should be a bit floppy which makes them super easy to drop into the cylinder.
Gratuitous picture because everyone loves pictures...

It's funny how earlier on some people thought the gun was fugly. I was watching Hickok45 and he couldn't stop calling it ugly but very functional, comparing it to a Glock.

I couldn't disagree more. Love the look! The matte black in that big N frame. Don't get me wrong, I love the bright blue on the S&W revolvers, like my Model 29, but this one does it for me too.

Maybe a sign of the times since most guns nowadays have that tactical look.

Nice! Love the setup, can you still use the iron sights through the mount?

Thanks! And hey, there's an R8 at my LGS. Selling for MSRP. I passed on it because I like the TRR8 better.

                          - nice trr8

                          - tell me how you like it

                          - I opted for the 8-shot redhawk in 357

                          - but always liked the idea of the trr8

                          - enjoy!

No, can't use the iron sights with this mount. I really do like it other than the driedchicken RMR sits a bit too high, would love if I could lower it a bit.

I do think this gun is pretty ridiculous but that's what makes it so awesome. It makes me smile to shoot it.

Does this have a lightweight frame? What's the difference between this and a 627?

I shoot in ICORE ( international confederation of revolver enthusiasts) and out of one hundred revos I may see one trr8, one ruger gp, and the rest are 627s and 929s.

I use Ranch Products moonclips. Buy a moonclip demooner, mooner and fixer (three tools).

Gun shoots well. Recoil feels reduced.

I have a list of holster makers somewhere.
