P320 question

Hey Calgunners,

Not a noob, but lost access to my email and older Calguns name, SharkDZ a few years ago.

Anyway, I'm not too familiar with the Sig P320 and it's FCU. Let's say for example I have a full size P320 in 9mm, can that FCU go into other frames and slides that are different lengths?

I'm asking as a P226/G19/G22/HK45C owner.

Yes they are 100% modular you can make any combination you want.

if you can find a 45 FCU err complete gun, it will DOWN size caliber to 9mm/40/357sig

I can change them in about 30 seconds between calibers. Factory 45carry and run Legion upper with Wilson Combat grip module and 3.4oz tungsten weight added

Unfortunately the 45 never caught on and was last made in 2018.

Yes they will fit and function. Just beware there are still first production top ends being sold and it won’t function with the post drop safe mod FCU.

There's a notch on the right side of the slide next to the striker.

On the older or newer slides? Is there a procedure to allow early slides to work with newer FCUs?

Sig offers the upgrade for free. New slides work on old FCG but old slides do not work in the new FCG

The original P320 design had the disconnect function with the trigger, on some specimen you can distinctly hear a double click when dry firing. On the drop safe model the slide has a notch to activate disconnector that is located in the FCU.
