Sig P365 SAS

I just ordered a Sig P365 SAS. My 43X with the Shield Arms mags is still my primary carry gun, but I think I'll use the P365 SAS for pocket carry during the summer time.

Overall I like the SIG P-365 SAS, but I don't like it's ported barrel.

I passed on the SAS, the sights just didn't do it for me. Don't get me wrong they are pretty dang neat, but I am just too used to old school sights.

They’re different. I think after some practice with them I’ll get used to them.

Yep - they are cool, but I would need a crapton of practice and maybe even have to give up using any other sights. They say you can't teach an old dog new tricks

For those of you with a standard P365, you can order a SAS slide, when back in stock. No ported barrel though.

The primary criticism of these sights is finding the nightsite in the dark.....a bit more difficult than standard Sig night sights.
However, the slide is slick as snot when drawing from a pocket holster.

The sight on the SAS is pretty controversial. Sounds good on paper but seems, in practice, the common thread among people who have tried is they find themselves taking a little longer to get on target. MAC has a valid point about firing ported handguns from tight confined spaces too.

Curious what your take is once you get yours.

It didn't take long for me to get use to the sight. When I first saw the SAS I turned my nose up at it, but after giving it a try I bought 2 of them. So far I like it better than my Hellcat.
When it comes down to it, the close distances that are typical for self defence, you're not going to bother with sights anyway.

Yeah, plus can’t go with standard sights. If SHTF and you only have one hand available while fending of an attacker and need to cycle your gun, the sights help.

You'll have fun practicing (incorporate low light) with the new sights. They're a little different, but they work. And the ported barrel isn't that bad.

I think the sights are fun/different. I shot at an indoor range, didn't notice the ported barrel. Once this virus is past, I will go for some low light practice and see if the flash is disturbing.

The trigger is good on it too; I found it smoother than the Glock 43x
